LG X120 netbook launched in US

lg_x120-netbook.jpg Though LG is active in Asian and European market in the netbook segment, the firm had shied away from entering the competitive netbook field in the world's largest market of United States. But this morning the Korean firm announced its first netbook for US market. The LG X120 is a 10.1" netbook based on Intel's Atom processor.

Specification-wise its a standard netbook, but the most interesting feature of this machine is its "SmartOn" mode which lets you access commonly used applications such as web browser, music player, photo browser, etc instantly.

Features include Atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 10.1-inch LED backlit display (1024 x 576 resolution), 1.3MP webcam, wireless, 3G, 6-cell battery and Windows XP.

The LG X120 is priced at $180 when clubbed with a two-year AT&T data plan worth $35 or more.
