LG Display demos Privacy Protection LCD panels for notebook PCs

lg_e200.jpg This one's for all notebook users who never like other people snooping on their LCD display. At the ongoing Pacifico Yokohama (Exhibition Hall) in Japan LG Display showcased a one of its kind LCD panel that protects people's privacy while they work on their mobile machines. Wondering how does a laptop's LCD provide privacy protection? Well, it does that by altering LCD display's viewing angle!

The LCD panel offers a 175 degrees viewing angle which can be changed to low angle of only 60 degrees.

This happens due to LG's Viewing-angle Image Control Display (VIC) technology, which prevents other people from snooping what's going on your lappie.

Currently LG has developed a 14.1" panel with Privacy Protection feature, meaning it'll soon come out with a 14.1" laptop featuring the said product.

Can't wait to see it!
