Lenovo ThinkPad X201, X201s, X201 tablet launched

And guess what, today Lenovo officially unveiled its 12" ThinkPad X201 series consisting of three machines -- the ThinkPad X201, X201s, and X201 tablet. The first one is a standard notebook touted to be the world's fastest ultraportable. Next in line is a multi-touch version of X201, while the last one is a convertible multi-touch tablet computer.

Features of ThinkPad X201 include Intel Core family processor (supporting over 3GHz clock), up to 8GB memory, wireless, Bluetooth, extremely long battery life with up to 11 hours, and Windows 7.

On the other hand the ThinkPad X201 tablet features 12.1" multi-touch display, up to 8GB RAM, 2.0MP camera, 54mm ExpressCard slot for smart card reader, TV Tuner, WiMAX, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, optional DVD drive, and Windows 7.

Pricing for models of the X201, X201s, and X201 tablet start at approximately $1,199, $1,599, $1,549.

All of them will be available by March.
