Lenovo netbooks to feature NVIDIA Ion platform
We knew NVIDIA was really pushing hard for its Ion platform. Earlier we’d heard rumors that Apple might be the first one to adopt NVIDIA Ion platform, but as per latest report Lenovo might well be the first one to use the Ion platform for its netbooks. According to Chinese-language Commercial Times, Lenovo plans to launch 11.6-inch and 12.1-inch netbooks combining Intel’s Atom processor and Nvidia’s Ion platform in the second quarter of this year. No word on whether the 12″ Ion model will be Lenovo S20 or not. That’s not all, Lenovo is also evaluating the possibility of launching a 13-inch Ion model.
