Laptops with ARM processors and Windows OS coming in 2013!
We know Wintel alliance has broken and Microsoft is keen on supporting ARM architecture. But now a confirmed report is doing round on internet which states laptops powered by ARM processors and Windows operating system will be introduced by the end of 2012 with commercial availability to begin no late than June 2013!
Two things are on ARM’s side — low power consumption and price. And two things are against it — software support and support from notebook vendors.
Now it has come to light that ARM processor makers are already cooperating with notebook players such as Asus and Lenovo and are set to launch Windows+ARM notebooks in mid-2013.
They expect the platform to do well in 2014 and become a major alliance by 2015.
Hope Windows+ARM platform works out well.
