HP Slate tablet to cost less than Apple iPad

hp_slate-tablet1.jpg Though HP is yet to release hard-core details of its Slate tablet, it is known that HP's upcoming device would be priced less than Apple's iPad. Reportedly, an entry version of the device running Windows 7 with 3G functionality will have similar specs to an iPad but will cost less than the iPad which is priced at $629.

Anyways Apple is known to charge a premium price for its design + user interface + App store so this particular news ain't shocking at all.

HP Slate would be based on Intel's Atom processor and will have solid state storage, multi-touch display and accelerometer.
