HP Pavilion dv8 18″ laptop unveiled

Remember we’d told you about the upcoming HP Pavilion dv8 laptop computer? Well, HP today official unveiled the 18.4″ entertainment notebook. The Pavilion dv8 is a cool multimedia laptop for people looking for a desktop replacement machine to enjoy media content. It boast of 18.4-inch full high-definition display, built-in TV tuner, Blu-ray disk reader, and subwoofer for home theatre-quality audio. What’s more, it also sports a strikingly crafted, the scratch-proof liquid metallic surface in the chic HP Espresso Imprint pattern that will add a touch of style to any room of the house.
Specification include an Intel Core i7 processor, and NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M graphics card with 1GB DDR3 SDRAM.
Other features include 4GB of RAM, dual 320GB hard drives, Blu-ray drive, TV Tuner and 802.11n wireless.
In addition to the new dv8, HP also announced several technology updates to its current HP Pavilion dv6 and dv7 Entertainment Laptop PCs. Both the mid-size 15.6- inch dv6 and the larger 17.3-inch dv7 will offer users the choice of either the new Intel Core i7 processor or the latest AMD Turion II ultra Dual Core processor. Furthermore, NVIDIA graphics and DDR3 SDRAM will be available on select dv6 and dv7 models.
The HP Pavilion dv8 Entertainment Laptop PC will be available from 22nd October, 2009 for $2,078, again proving that luxury comes at a premium.
The HP Pavilion dv7 Entertainment Laptop PC will be available from 22nd October, 2009 at a recommended street price $960.
The HP Pavilion dv6 Entertainment Laptop PC will be available from 22nd October, 2009 at a recommended street price of $720.
