HP has launched a notebook for mobilers who need to stay connected wherever they go. The lappie includes Cingular’s UMTS/HSDPA network for wireless connectivity that gives up to 3.6 megabit speed. The in-built tri-band modem takes advantage of GPRS and EDGE services around the globe. The laptop is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and features an Intel graphics chip (ATI card is optional), and a 14.1-inch widescreen display. The laptop is priced at $1,599, with Cingular’s unlimited BroadbandConnect service coming in at $59.99 a month.
