HP has silently updated its Compaq series with two new business laptops. The Compaq family now consist of the Compaq 515 14" and the Compaq 610 15.6" notebooks. They're based on AMD Athlon / Turion and Intel Core 2 Duo / Celeron processors, respectively and features decent specification which are enough for normal business work.

The Compaq 515 features 14" LED-backlit display, Turion X2 / Athlon X2 Dual-Core processor, up to 8GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics, 250GB hard drive, DVD burner, 2MP webcam, wireless, and Vista.

On the other hand the Compaq 610 offers a 15.6" LED-backlit display, Intel Core 2 Duo / Celeron processor, up to 4GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, DVD burner, 2MP webcam, wireless, and Vista.

The Compaq 515 starts at $429, while the Compaq 610 starts at $449.
