Soon after unveiling a budget 15.4" laptop for home users, HP today announced an ultra portable notebook computer for business professionals. The latest addition in Compaq series is based on Intel's Centrino 2 technology and weights just 1.85 kg. The 12.1" 2230s can be customized with Intel's low-power P series Core 2 Duo chip or high-performance Penryn chip. Also on offer is 3GB RAM, 320GB HDD, DVD Burner, Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics, 802.11a/b/g/draft-n wireless, Bluetooth, and Vista. The Compaq 2230s is now available starting at $999.
