HP adds six laptops and a tablet in Compaq series

After planning some lappies for Pavilion series, HP has decided to revamp their Compaq series also. The firm will be soon introducing six new laptops - 2500p, 6910p, 8510p, 8510w, 8710p and 8710w and a tablet PC 2710p (pictured above). All the notebooks are based on Santa Rosa platform. The 17-inch HP Compaq 8710w features Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 / T7700 processor, 1920 x 1200 resolution, max 2GB RAM, Nvidia Quadro FX 1600M graphics with 512MB, 160GB hard drive, Blu-ray player, 802.11a/b/g/draft-n, Bluetooth, finger-print reader, Li-Ion a 8 cell battery, and Vista. The 17-inch 8710p sports same specs except Nvidia Quadro NVS 320M with 256MB. The 15.4-inch 8510w also provides almost same config except Nvidia Quadro FX 570M with 256MB (512-MB TurboCache) / ATI Mobility FireGL V5600 256-MB, and 100GB hard drive.
The 15.4-inch 8510p and 14.1-inch 6910p are no different from others except ATI Mobility Radeon X2600 (256MB) and X2300 (256MB) respectively. The 12.1-inch 2510p portable laptop includes Intel Core 2 Duo U7500 / U7600 ultra low voltage chip, 1.8-inch 100GB hard drive, DVD burner, and same other specs. And finally, the 2710p tablet PC is a replacement for the tc4400 comes with 802.11n wireless. No other information.
