Google to build Chrome OS netbook?

google_chrome-os-details.jpg Well well well, this is one superb piece of news. Reportedly, Google is planning to build its Chrome OS netbook all by itself! Yes you read it correct, a Google-branded netbook computer! Word on internet has it the firm is talking to at least one major hardware manufacturer about building a netbook for Google directly.

So what would Google exactly do? Build the device, brand it as a Google-machine and sell it directly to consumers.

No word on specification, but TechCrunch is placing its bet on ARM processor with NVIDIA Tegra chip, providing great computing power at low power and low price-point.

As for release date, the Google-branded netbooks won't be out before next holiday season.
