Google Nexus tablet coming in first half of 2012
Google is already present in mobile space through Google Nexus smartphone, so a Google Nexus tablet seems pretty obvious. Recently Google’s chairman Eric Schmidt mentioned that it is indeed planning to launch its own tablet in the first half of 2012. “In the next six months we plan to market a tablet of the highest quality,” said Schmidt. Though no name was given, you can expect Google Nexus branding.
As for specification, Schmidt didn’t say anything about it.
But if we are to guess then the Google tablet will have NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
That’s all for now. We’ll let you know as and when we learn more, so stay tuned.
