Getac E100 rugged Tablet PC
After a long while someone has released a tablet for tech-savvy military guys. The fully rugged GETAC E100 slate-style tablet PC is a 3 pounds gizmo specially designed for intensive “field-based” applications. It also meets MIL-STD-810F and IP54 standards for durability and protection against dirt, dust, water, motion, vibration, temperature and other factors that would severely damage or disable a commercial-grade PC. The E100 comes with an 8.4-inch TFT SVGA transmissive display with integrated touch screen panel. Optional features include an Ultra-Bright sunlight-readable display and 800 Nit backlit LCD screen that delivers astonishing readability that is comparable to larger-screen models.
Encased in a fully rugged magnesium alloy case the E100 provides 800MHz Intel Stealey 512KB L2 cache processor, up to 1GB RAM, max 100GB shock-resistant hard drive, 802.11b/g wireless, Bluetooth, card reader, GPS, EV-DO, GPRS/EDGE and up to five hours of battery life.
