Gateway UC Series and MD Series notebook launched

gateway_mc-notebook.jpg Gateway yesterday announced two new laptop series, the Gateway UC Series and Gateway MD Series. The first one is an ultra portable with 13.3-inch display while the second one is a standard notebook computer with 15.6-inch widescreen display. According to Gateway, both are optimized for people who are on budget but still want the best. The new 15.6-inch Gateway MD Series notebook line leverages the fashion-forward style and the capabilities of the popular Gateway MC Series to deliver cinematic mobile entertainment and mainstream performance. It is available now at leading retailers with price starting $649.99. On the other hand the UC series is now available starting at $749.99.

The MD Series platform will offer processor technology from both Intel and AMD, including Intel Core 2 Duo, AMD Athlon X2 and AMD Turion X2 processors. It can support up to 500GB of storage space, 4GB of DDR2 memory, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 graphics with 512MB dedicated memory, optional Blu-ray drive, wireless, and 1.3 mega pixel webcam.

On the other hand, the Gateway UC series comes with 13.3-inch Ultrabright TFT LCD with a high 1280x800 resolution, an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T6400 (2.0GHz) with Intel Centrino Processor Technology, 3GB of DDR2 667MHz memory, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD, DVD Burner, HDMI, and 250gig hard drive.
