![]()
After keeping us waiting for a long while Fujitsu today unveiled their new ultra mobile PC for business community. The U2010 is a successor to Fujitsu’s previous generation U1010 UMPC with much better specification. The standalone features of U2010 are high resolution 5.6” touchscreen display (1280 x 800), 1.3 mega pixel camera, 64GB SSD, long battery life of 8 hours, Microsoft Origami Experience 2.0 application for quick access to multimedia, and Intel Centrino Atom processor. Whoever said that good things come in small packages was right on the money.
Another interesting thing is its ability to wirelessly connect to any FM radio and its audio output to play aloud your favorite songs straight from your notebook’s music library, using only your home entertainment system or even your car’s FM stereo system!
As its a business machine, security is important. Considering this, the UMPC comes replete with a suite of security features that guarantees the confidentiality of your information. Ensuring that your confidential documents stay private is a 2-level BIOS lock and an Anti-Theft Lock Slot. In addition, the LifeBook U2010 has a Fingerprint Sensor which allows the encryption of sensitive files.
No word on pricing and availability.
