Everex CloudBook now available in Japan for $618
After months of delay Everex finally released their much touted Eee PC rival in the Japanese market. The CloudBook is a 7″ mini notebook computer with a touchscreen and standard UMPC like features. As reported earlier, its based on 1.2GHz VIA C7-M processor and features 512MB RAM (expandable to 1GB), 30GB hard drive (a better option than small capacity flash disk), and Windows XP.
The CloudBook also offers with webcam, media card reader, SD Card / MMC / Memory Stick (PRO), DVI-I, two USB 2.0 ports, 802.11a/b/g wireless, Bluetooth, and battery life of 4 hours.
The Everex CloudBook is now available in Japan for about $618 — against the claimed price of $399 when it was displayed during CES 2008 in January.
