Devon IT has announced the availability of it's new SafeBook thin client laptop equipped with its terminal operating system that enables desktop and Internet access through a wide range of protocols. It's designed for business users who needs "mobility of a laptop computer with the added benefits of advanced security and lower total cost of ownership." This machine doesn't feature any hard drive, all applications run securely from servers in companies' data centers. The authorized users can gain remote access through Citrix ICA or Microsoft RDP protocols.

The 12.1-inch SafeBook comes with VIA C7-M processor, 3G aircard support, and 802.11 a/b/g wireless. It's now available with a base price of $599.
