Dell XPS M1730 notebook now available

Finally Dell has officially announced the availability of its most awaiting gaming notebook. As previously reported the M1730 is a 17-inch addition in XPS line up with powerful muscles. It boasts a physics processing unit (of course from AGEIA), the latest NVIDIA SLI technology, and some cool features such as a built-in stats tracker and 16-color, programmable LightFXTM lighting. The firm claims it comes with world's first built-in notebook Logitech GamePanelTM LCD to display gaming stats (like no. of remaining bullets, shells etc) and a full-size illuminated keyboard to play even when the lights are off. It's gaming power comes from AGEIA PhysX Accelerator 100M and dual Nvidia GeForce 8700M GT graphics card in SLi (with 512MB GDDR3 memory).

The M1730's 17-inch widescreen UltraSharp WUXGA display provides 1920x1200 resolution, 7ms response time, and support for full HD 1080p playback. At max you can configure it with 2.8GHz Core 2 Extreme X7900 processor, 4GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, optional 128GB solid state drive, Blu-ray drive, a/g/n wireless, 8-in-1 card reader, HDMI, 2.0 mega pixel camera, Bluetooth, and Vista Ultimate. Technically the system starts at $2,999 but the above mentioned specs will easily set you for $5,431.
