Dell XPS 14, XPS 15, XPS 17 Laptops Launched

Dell today officially rolled out three new laptops under XPS family — the Dell XPS 14, XPS 15, and XPS 17. Interesting thing to note here is that all are multimedia powerhouse. Flagship features include JBL and Waves sound design, a cinema-like HD video experience featuring cutting-edge graphics from NVIDIA, and the industry’s first Skype-certified laptops with HD video streaming webcams. The stylish laptops come standard with silver anodized aluminum display back and palmrest, or can be personalized with one of more than 200 original designs from Dell Design Studio. Specification include Intel Core i processors and the latest NVIDIA GeForce 400 series graphics with Optimus technology.
In addition, the new family of laptops — which come in 14-, 15- and 17-inch screen sizes — are all 3D TV ready and include NVIDIA’s 3DTV Play software which allows users to connect their Dell XPS notebooks to new 3D HDTVs and play hundreds of popular PC games in 3D, watch Blu-ray 3D movies, and browse 3D photos and videos in immersive, stereoscopic 3D.
The Dell XPS 14 features Intel Core i5/i7 processor, up to 8GB memory, 256GB SSD or 500GB hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce GT425M or GT420M graphics, 14-inch display and Blu-ray.
On the other hand the XPS 15 gives option of NVIDIA GeForce GT435M or GT420M graphics. Other features remain same except for a 15″ display.
Finally the big brother XPS 17 boast of up to 16GB RAM, 1.2TB hard drive or 256GB SSD, and GeForce GT445M or GT435M graphics. Other features remain same except for a 17-inch panel.
Rest of the common features include 2.0MP webcam, 802.11n wireless, card reader, 6-/9- cell battery, Bluetooth 3.0, optional WWAN, optional GPS, 2 USB 3.0 ports, and HDMI.
All of them are based on Windows 7 operating system.
Starting prices for the new XPS laptops are: $899 for the XPS 14; $849 for the XPS 15; and $949 for the XPS 17.
