Dell Precision M6300 mobile workstation announced

Today Dell announced its most powerful mobile workstation designed to "free engineers, artists, developers and other professionals to run business-critical applications wherever they go with true desktop-level performance." The 17-inch desktop replacement is based on Santa Rosa platform and supports latest Intel Core 2 Extreme X7900 (2.8GHz) processor. The specifications are almost the same as I earlier reported except memory. The machine includes only 4GB RAM as opposed to claimed 8GB. It also features Nvidia Quadro FX1600M OpenGL discrete graphics that improves performance up to 70 percent in graphics-intensive applications.

The Precision M6300 comes with Core 2 Duo T7100 / T7500 / T7700 / T7800 / X7900 processor, 512MB Quadro FX 1600M graphics, up to 4GB RAM, max 200GB 7200rpm hard drive, 32GB solid state drive, Blu-ray drive, a/g/n wireless, Bluetooth, and Vista. The system starts at $2,567 while the above mentioned specs will set you for $5,900.
