Compal has showcased their new portable computer dubbed as UMD (Ultra Mobile Device) that runs on Windows CE (to save battery and to keep price down). The 4.3-inch PC comes with 532MHz Freescale i.MX31 processor, 800 x 480 resolution, 256MB DDR RAM, 512MB of Nand flash memory, 802.11b/g wireless, Bluetooth, HSDPA, 1.3 megapixel camera, built-in speakers, microphone, miniSD card slot, and QWERTY keyboard. No word on availability but it's expected to cost less that $400.
