Compal reference laptop with AMD Trinity APU showcased
Recently AMD showcased a reference laptop by Compal running on AMD’s upcoming Trinity APU. What is interesting about this machine is that it is not only thin and light but quite powerful too. Measuring 18mm thin, the reference laptop was running on lower voltage variant of Trinity (either 17W or 25W).
Engadget reports that the laptop also offers 2x USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet, WiFi, HDMI, mini DisplayPort and goof viewing angels.
If that’s not tempting enough, it has been learnt that Trinity powered thin and light machine will only between $500-$600, making them really attractive and worthy competitors to Intel-powered ultrabooks.
It won’t be long before AMD goes official on AMD Trinity APU and we see Trinity-powered thin and light notebooks, so stay tuned!
