Casio has jumped into tablet segment with two new tablet computers — the Casio V-N500 and V-T500. Designed for business users, the 10.1-inch tablets boast of a smart and tough design and come in a total of four models — Paper Writer V-N500-WJ, Paper Writer V-N500-J, V-T500-WJ and V-T500-J.
The Casio Paper Writer models come equipped with stylus pen and support handwriting recognition. They also boast of a feature to convert handwritten notes to digital format — just keep a notebook in front of the device and start turning pages, the tablet will automatically store all pages in digital format.
Common features for all four models include OMAP 4460(1.5GHz) processor, 10.1-inch multi-touch LED display (1280 x 800), 1GB RAM, and 16GB storage.
Casio V-N500 and V-T500 also provide WiFi, LTE, Bluetooth, card reader, 5MP camera, RFID tag reader, mini USB 2.0, USB 2.0, mini HDMI, and 10 hours of battery life.
Operating system is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The new Casio tablets will be available in Japanese market from September. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing.
