RIM has finally launched the BlackBerry PlayBook 4G LTE tablet. Powered by 1.5GHz dual-core processor, the tablet spots a 7-inch display and maintains a sleek and ultra-portable form while maintaining weight of 425g. The latest PlayBook tablet also features BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2 software and high speed connectivity options including LTE and HSPA+.
There are two models of this tablet — one with cellular + WiFi with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, and 32GB storage; and a WiFi only model with a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, and max 64GB storage.
Common features include 7-inch multi-touch display (1024×600), 3MP front camera, 5MP rear camera, micro USB, micro HDMI, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and stereo speakers.
The 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook tablet will be available in Canada on August 9, 2012. RIM also plans to launch the latest PlayBook tablet in rest of the world in coming months.
As for pricing, the 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook tablet will cost $550 if you go contract free or $450 with a two-year contract.
