BenQ JoyBook S33, S42, P53 Notebooks Unveiled

benq_s33-1.jpg Recently BenQ launched three new notebook computers based on Intel Centrino 2 / AMD Puma platform. The JoyBook S33 and S42 are based on Intel's latest Centrino 2 mobile platform, while the JoyBook P53 is powered by AMD Puma technology. The S33 (pictured) is a nice looking ultraportable sporting "classic victorian" design. The 13.3-inch laptop is powered by power-efficient Core 2 Duo P8400 processor, and provides GMA X4500HD graphics, up to 4GB RAM, max 320gig hard drive, DVD burner, WiFi, Bluetooth, 4-in-1 card reader, 2.0 mega pixel webcam, built-in SRS TruSurround XT multi-channel audio technologies with 2x 1.5W speakers, QDataTrove 3 backup and system restore utility, and Windows Vista.

Like it's younger sibling the JoyBook S42 is powered by Intel's Centrino 2 technology, but unlike S33 this one makes use of dedicated NVIDIA graphics card which makes it more powerful compared to it's younger sibling. Specification of 14.1-inch S42 is quite similar to S33 except for graphics card -- the S42 comes equipped with NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics card providing full HD video and DirectX 10 support.

On the other hand, the Joybook P53 is based AMD's Puma platform. The 15.4" laptop is powered by AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology and hybrid CrossFireX technology. The P53 provides two internal hard disk drives, 1.3 mp webcam, integrated microphone, speakers, Bluetooth, four USB 2.0 ports, and WiFi.
