Asus today came out with a new series of notebook computers. The latest U Series notebooks from ASUS are one of the most thinnest yet fully-functional laptops. Asus reports that the stylish design of its U Series is inspired by "one of nature’s thinnest, most aesthetically pleasing and most graceful creations", the butterfly — "promising an exquisitely crafted, thin and lightweight notebook that takes away nothing in terms of functionality." Going by its design and specification, the U Series is truly an amazingly stylish and fully featured notebook series. The U Series notebooks are designed for fat-wallet business professionals as well as students who are never short on money and love stylish products.

On the ultra portable side there's U20A with 12.1" display and UX30 with 13.3" display, while in the medium range you get U80V and U81A with 14" display. If you want a 15.6" screen then you can go for U50G, U51Vg, and UX50V notebooks.

Basic specification of all of them remains almost same with Intel's Core 2 Duo processing running under their skin. All of them provides up to 4GB RAM, max 500GB hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce G 105M with 512MB VRAM or Intel GMA 4500MHD video card, DVD Burner, wireless, Bluetooth, and Windows Vista.
