Asus has really worked well on their U5F series to give it a much needed change. The refreshed laptop not only sports a new look but also a Core 2 Duo processor. Launched in the Chinese market, it's specs includes an Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 processor, 12.1-inch XGA monitor, 512MB of RAM, 80GB hard drive, a dual-layer DVD burner, and Intel's 945GM integrated graphics set. It also features Asus exclusive 'Splendid Video Intelligence Technology' that increases contrast, brightness, and color saturation, and ‘TPM’ (Trusted Platform Module) to ensure security. It offers few USB 2.0 ports, VGA output, audio in / out, and gigabit Ethernet. The notebook comes with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition and weights 1.4kg.
