Looks like Asus is planning to refresh its U series with couple of new ultraportables. The 11.1-inch U1E is an addition in U1 line up designed for suits. It boasts sexy new design with carbon fiber body in rich black color. Just like the U6S, this one's based around Santa Rosa platform and features ultra low voltage Intel processor. If you travel a lot and are looking for a good travelmate then go for U1E as it comes with decent specs while keeping the weight down to 1Kg.

It includes Core Duo ULV7500 processor, 2GB RAM, 100GB hard drive, external dual layer DVD burner, a/b/g wireless, Bluetooth, 0.3 mega pixel webcam, fingerprint reader, and Vista. The notebook uses 9 cells battery providing six hours of power juice. It'll be available from next month for approximately $2846.
