We know these days companies goes to extreme end to design environment friendly products. Under one such initiative ASUS designed an entire line that "focuses on alternative material design aimed at helping save the earth." The press release said, "ASUS has created an image of the future for computing – showcasing environmentally friendly designs for notebooks, LCDs and Mini PCs with bamboo as an alternative material in the manufacturing process." I don't think its going to be too effective in saving our beloved earth, but if you're a fat cat who doesn't mind shelling big bucks for unique stuff, then go buy Asus Bamboo.

Also amidst great expectations, ASUS finally launched the Eee PC pre-installed with Microsoft Windows XP, incorporating Windows Live and Microsoft Works features. The new version, especially designed for Microsoft-addicts, will be available shortly.
