ASUS kicks off CeBIT 2008 on a high note

asus_multimedia.jpg Techno geek can expect a lot from ASUS this season. Just before CeBIT ASUS distributed press releases describing their latest stylish products. The Taiwanese computer maker will be showcasing couple new products such as a new notebook "Multimedia" line up, compact Lamborghini VX3, mini PC, next generation UMPCs with design made-over and enriched functions, and tailor-made gaming laptop providing top-notch overclocking freedom and true-to-life graphics performance. And as always, design comes first for all of these products.

Let's first discuss the new multimedia series notebook computer. According to the company, main USP of the M Series notebook is its ultra chic styling and high quality construction. For industry leading audio performance, the 15" and 17" widescreen laptops offer exclusive ASUS AI Surround technology that delivers refined sound with real surround power through digital data processing, Dolby Home Theater as well as built-in Altec Lancing speakers. The unique dual-mode multimedia touch pad allows users to enjoy total entertainment control at the fingertip. What's more, the M50 and M70 will also come with 2x 500GB Hitachi hard drive.

One of the major attraction of these new products is certainly the compact Lamborghini VX3 machine. ASUS shrunk their famous Lamborghini to make it more appealing to road warriors (they used to come in 15.4" form factor, but will now sport 12.1" size). The VX3 encompasses luxurious materials, including a sapphire crystal webcam panel, titanium alloy hinge backbone and the premium leather-bound palm rest for a perfect visual and tactile experience. Though it comes in small size, it's a complete powerhouse. Its based on Intel Centrino platform and comes with Core 2 Duo T9300 Penryn processor, 4GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9300 video card (with 250MB memory), 320GB HDD, built-in 3.5G, webcam, wireless n, dual layer DVD burner, and Vista Ultimate.

The ASUS R50 UMPC
The ASUS R50 ultra slim and light PC simply does more. Being the smallest and lightest 5.6" UMPC, the streamlined form factor houses an extensive range of communication features, including built-in GPS, TV tuner and 3.5G high-speed connectivity. Together with a fingerprint scanner and a solid-state hard disc, the stylish R50 is all you need to take when you travel.

The ASUS R70
The ASUS R70 is the corporate warrior´s stealth fighter! Measuring a mere 7 inches across, the R70 is a full-featured computer with touch screen and then some. Featuring built-in GPS and 3.5G high-speed Internet access, navigation is now with new real-time positioning power that ensures you´re never lost – even off the roads! Together with a collective host of communication tools, including a built-in a webcam and fingerprint data protection, the ultra portable R70 is the empowered executive´s necessary companion.
