Asus Hermes UMPC and N13i rugged laptop coming soon
During Computex 2007 Asus had displayed it’s new portable computers that are expected to join the market sometime this fall. The 7-inch Hermes (pictured above) ultra portable PC is shock-resistance, drip and dust proof, and can bear a drop of 120cm. It features Via C7-M low voltage processor, card reader, GPS, 6 hours battery life, and optional SSD. The 13.3-inch N13i rugged laptop is based on Santa Rosa platform and comes with 2 megapixel camera, a/b/g wireless, Bluetooth and HSDPA. The Hermes and N13i will be mass produced from November and are priced at $700 and $3,000 respectively.
