ASUS G73SW 17.3″ and G53SW 15.6″ gaming notebooks revealed

Word on internet has it Asus is planning to update its G series laptops with two new models — the Asus G73SW (17.3″) and the Asus G53SW (15.6″). Interesting thing about them is that they’re power-packed machines targeted towards hard-core gamers. Both are powered by “Sandy Bridge” Intel Core i7 quad-core processors and feature dedicated NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards.
The G73SW is powered by “Sandy Bridge” Core i7-2630QM processor and features 8GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB hybrid hard drive with 4GB flash (Seagate Momentus XT), 17.3″ widescreen full HD display (1920×1080), Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M (1.5GB) graphics card, Blu-ray drive, 2.0MP webcam, VGA, HDMI, 3x USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g/n, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
It is expected to cost around $2,561.
The Asus G53SW is a similarly specced machine except for a 15.6-inch display and 640GB hard drive. It also loses on Blu-ray drive and instead features a standard DVD burner. This one is expected to cost $1,300.
Expect Asus to go official on these babies during CES 2011.
