ASUS Bamboo Notebooks Unveiled

asus_bamboo2.jpg Taking it's environment-saving efforts further ASUS today released two new Bamboo notebooks that are "truly green throughout every phase of their lives." According to Asus, the notebooks are completely green -- from its conception, production and use to its eventual recycling and disposal. On one hand company is saying the products are completely eco-friendly, but it doesn't understands that they'll need to take down so many trees just to make it "eco-friendly". Product made from wood increases de-forestation then how can it actually become environment friendly? Hope ASUS have the answer.

The notebooks features Super Hybrid Engine technology which claims to extend battery life between 35% and 70% as compared to notebooks with the same specifications but without the technology, and yet enable users to boost their systems' performance by up to 23%.

No word on pricing, but these so-called environment-friendly machines don't come cheap so be ready to shell out big-bucks if you planning to buy Bamboo laptop.
