Archos X101 XS tablet with magnetic coverboard launched

Archos X101 XS is a 10-inch tablet with Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system (upgradeable to Jelly Bean). What is interesting about this tablet is that it comes equipped with a magnetic coverboard to cover, dock, stand and type. Simply put the coverboard not only acts as a screen cover to protect the screen but also has a built-in physical QWERTY keyboard.

Archos X101 XS measures just 8mm thin and weighs 600g.

Specification include 1.5GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, microSD card slot for expandable storage, 10.1-inch multi-touch display with 1280×800 resolution.

Archos X101 XS also features 720p front camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and mini HDMI.

It’s battery life is rated at 7 hours for video playback or 10 hours for internet navigation.

Archos X101 XS tablet will be available in Europe from next month & in US from November for $399.99.
