There are two major things to report regarding Apple's upcoming Tablet PC. The first one is pretty interesting. According to industry sources, the Apple Tablet will feature an OLED display! Reportedly, Apple has gives LCD contract to two firms, Quanta Computer and Pegatron Technology with one of them manufacturing a 10.6-inch TFT LCD panel while the other will produce a 9.7-inch OLED panel.

Currently a 9.7-inch OLED panel costs around $500 and panel costs normally account for about 30% of the device's total cost, meaning Apple's 9.7-inch OLED tablet PC is expected to have a cost of about $1,500-1,700.

On the other hand the 10.6-inch LCD panel-based Apple tablet PC is expected to priced in the $800-1,000 range.

Second news, being sad is that Apple will only unveil its Tablet PC in the second half of 2010.
