• Apple iPad with 7.85″ display coming!

    We know Apple is expected to launch a new iPad — the iPad 3 — in February 2012 with retina display. But now word on internet has it Apple will also launch a 7.85″ iPad in 2012!

    This is mainly because of increasing competition from 7″ tablets including the Amazon Fire and large size 5″ smartphones which also function as a tablets.

    So to maintain a dominant share in tablet segment, Apple has decided to come out with a smaller version of iPad.

    It’ll purchase 7.85-inch panels from LG Display and AU Optronics (AUO), and will start production of 7.85″ iPad at the end of the second quarter of 2012.
