Amazon tablet coming in October
We know Amazon is developing a slate tablet to compete against Apple’s iPad. Now word on internet has it the Amazon tablet will be unveiled in October.
Reportedly, the Amazon tablet will have a roughly 9-inch multi-touch screen and will run on Google’s Android operating system.
Other details are scarce but we know that it’ll not have a camera. From earlier reports we know that Amazon has outsourced the contract to manufacture it’s tablet to Asian companies. The tablet is being manufactured by Quanta and is expected to start shipping the tablet in the second half of this year and is expected to ship 700,000-800,000 units during peak season.
It is also learned that Amazon is working on another model, of its own design, that could be released next year.
