Acer to launch 3D notebook in October?
Well well well, if reports are to be believed then Acer will soon be the world's first manufacturer to offer a 3D notebook computer by October end. Yes, you read it correct. A 3D Notebook! As things stand, currently you need to wear special 3D glasses in order to view 3-dimensional objects, but Acer is currently working on a new technology which will enable notebook users to enjoy 3D graphics with any glasses.
The 15.6-inch notebook is being developed in association with Wistron, and features built-in software which can convert regular 2D movies to 3D and directly support 3D movies.
No word on concrete details of the model, but Acer will make an announcement when Microsoft goes official with its upcoming Windows 7 operating system.
