Acer netbooks based on Google Chrome OS netbook coming in 2H10
Acer, one of the most active player in the netbook segment will introduce netbooks based on Google's Chrome operating system in the second half of calender year 2010. According to Acer's Chairman JT Wang, Acer will be the first company in the world to launch a Chrome based netbook.
One thing to note regarding the said claim is that the firm was the first one to launch a netbook based on Google's Android OS.
So such a claim is indeed believable.
Recently, Google had provided some details regarding Chrome OS wherein the firm said that they'll be officially launching it around November 2010, so it is to be seen when Acer rolls out its first machine based on the said operating system.
