Acer has introduced a new netbook computer — the Acer Aspire One E100. Interesting thing about this netbook is that it dual-boots in Android and Windows 7 operating systems. This one’s particularly targeted towards kids and boast of rubberized coating for bump protection. It also has a pocket wherein a student can slot name card, so that multiple Aspire One E100 units don’t get mixed.

The device features a 10.1-inch widescreen display with 1024 x 600 resolution, and is powered by an Intel Atom processor.
Specification include 1GB memory, 250GB hard drive, card reader, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, and 8 hours battery life.
As for operating system software, it has two options — Google Android and Microsoft Windows 7. Thanks to dual option you can use the first option when you want to browse pics, play music, surf the web or check email. On the other hand Windows can be used for heavy duty computing.
The Aspire ONe E100 also come preloaded with Classroom Manager app which allows a teacher to remotely interact with multiple student systems.
