The Acer Aspire 8942 and Aspire 5942 are media laptops with either 18.4" or 15.6" displays. Both are powered by Intel's newest Core family processors and boast of couple of interesting multimedia features. Flagship features include 16:9 HD panel with LED-backlighting, surround sound system, Dolby Home Theater audio enhancement, digital TV-tuner and Blu-ray Disc drive.

Other features include up to 8GB DDR3 memory, multi-gesture touchpad, 1280 GB (2x640GB) hard drive, Wireless, Bluetooth, high definition webcam, longer battery life and Windows 7.
