Acer Aspire 6920 and 8920 "Blue" laptops unveiled
Both of them boasts loads of "world's firsts". One of them is Acer exclusive touch-sensitive CineDash interface that gives you a new way to manage entertainment and launch Acer Arcade in seconds, as well as navigate menus, adjust volume and control your media on the fly. The notebooks feature the second generation Dolby Home Theater technology with powerful audio technologies – CineSurround, Tuba CineBass booster, and True5.1 output – that set a new standard for the notebook sound capability. They provides built-in multi-speaker True 5.1 surround sound through six integrated speakers, and specially crafted tube-style Acer Tuba CineBass subwoofer that exceeds 10 W.
The 8920G is the first notebook with a 18.4” Full HD CineCrystal LCD panel, featuring 1920x1080 pixel resolution, 8ms response time and native 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. It offers Intel Penryn Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB RAM, max 640GB storage, NVIDIA GeForce 9650M GS with up to 1280 MB of TurboCache (512 MB of dedicated GDDR3 VRAM, up to 768 MB of shared system memory) or GeForce 9500M GS with up to 1280 MB of TurboCache (512 MB of dedicated GDDR2 VRAM, up to 768 MB of shared system memory), Blu-ray disk drive, 6-in-1 card reader, digital TV Tuner, in-built camera, a VoIP Bluetooth phone, and Windows Vista.
The 16" Aspire 6920 is a similarly specced machine except for 1366x768 pixel resolution.
Both of them will be available in a month's time with price ranging from $900 to $2000 depending on your configuration.
