Looks like after becoming second leader in PC shipment Acer has aimed for the first place. In fact no sooner did it came out with the world's first 3D notebook and a netbook PC, the firm displayed a multi-touch convertible tablet PC in the Chinese market. The Acer Aspire 1420p is a multi-touch tablet with an 11.6-inch display.

And don't think because of its small size it would be less any less powerful.

The machine is based on an Intel Core 2 Duo ULV processor, and boast of up to 8GB of RAM, 320GB hard drive and Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics.

Other standard features are Wireless, Bluetooth, 3G, multi-touch trackpad, Ethernet, webcam, card reader, HDMI, and 6-cell battery delivering 8 hours of battery life.

It is based on Windows 7 and will be officially launched in November.
