Remember the Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M5 ultrabook which was launched during CES in January? Well, Acer has now announced the availability of this ultrabook in the American market. Starting at $680, the Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M5 comes in 14″ and 15.6″ sizes and sport 0.81-inch thin and 4.3 pounds light body. That’s not all, the Timeline Ultra M5 also boast of third generation Intel Core “Ivy Bridge” processor, NVIDIA discrete graphics, Intel Anti-Theft Technology, and all-day battery life.
Interestingly, the laptop feature the innovative “Acer Green Instant On” and “Acer Always Connect” technologies. Acer Green Instant On resumes the Timeline Ultra’s computing session from sleep in less than 2 seconds and from deep sleep in 6 seconds; the 20GB SSD drive returns to the PC’s state just as it was left. On the other hand Acer Always Connect connects to the web in 2.5 seconds by remembering previously used Wi-Fi spots.
Specification include up to 6GB DDR3 memory, Intel HD or NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M LE (1GB) graphics, 500GB hard drive + 20GB SSD, DVD burner, and 1366 x 768 resolution LED backlit display.
Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M5 also provide two USB 3.0 ports, card reader, Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, 1.3MP HD webcam, backlit keyboard, Dolby Home Theater v4, premium speakers, and HDMI.
