NVIDIA Ion platform with 9400M graphics and Atom processor

nvidia_ion.jpg Netbooks lack graphics power. That's one thing stopping them from becoming a true mobile solution. But with the launch of Ion, NVIDIA expects to change all that. The graphics leader recently came out with a new platform -- Ion -- to bring HD graphics to netbooks. The latest NVIDIA chipset features its own 9400M graphics processor and Intel Atom computing processor to deliver outstanding graphics performance in a netbook. Netbooks with NVIDIA Ion will come in second half of 2009, and will deliver 5x faster graphics and 10x faster video transcoding than a standard Atom-powered netbook running on Intel's current platform.
