Advanced Micro Devices came at CeBIT scene with couple of interesting products including their first 45nm Quad Core processor, 780 series motherboard GPU and the much awaited CrossFireX multi-GPU technology for advance gaming. The 45nm quad-core chips running multiple operating systems and a range of processing intensive applications also offers greater performance-per-watt capabilities.

The AMD 780 Series is the “industry’s most advanced” motherboard GPU, delivering a rich computing experience for casual gamers and multimedia enthusiasts as the core of quiet and energy-efficient PC designs. It supports multiple formats such as VC-1, MPEG-2 and H.264 and a broad range of video interfaces including DisplayPort, DVI and HDMI. Also, the AMD Surroundview allows consumers to connect multiple monitors.

And finally, the CrossFireX technology for multi-GPU configuration is here! Through three- and four-GPU set-up in CrossFireX, gamers can see multi-GPU performance scaling across a range of today’s most popular DirectX 9 and DirectX 10 games on Windows Vista — up to 3.2 times the performance over a single GPU in some scenarios.
