Today ViewSonic updated its VX (pictured above) and VA series with a total of seven new widescreen LCD monitors. The VA line up is for budget users who are looking for value-for-money product while the VX series is for professionals looking for some great specs. The 19-inch VX1940w, 22-inch VX2240w and 19-inch VX1932wm come equipped with high dynamic contrast ratio, 2ms response time, and 300 cd/m2 brightness. The first two displays boasts 4000:1 contrast ratio and provides enhanced light and dark images and reduced “light leakage” that improve performance up to four times greater than traditional contrast ratios. The VX1940w ($249) and VX2240w ($349) offers 1680×1050 resolution while the VX1932wm ($249) lowers the res to 1440×900 and provides 2000:1 contrast.

The update in VA series (pictured below) includes 19-inch VA1926w ($229) and VA926 ($259), 20-inch VA2026w ($249) and 22-inch VA2226w ($279). All of them are equipped with 2000:1 contrast (very high when think they’re for budget users), 5ms response time, and 300 cd/m2 brightness. The VA926 includes 1280×1024 res, VA1926w provides 1440×900 resolution, and VA2026w and VA226w offers 1680×1050.
