• ViewSonic rolls out new LCD displays at CES

    ViewSonic has updated it’s LCD monitor line up with couple of new displays. The latest offering includes 26-inch VX2640w and VP2650wb, 22-inch VLED221wm, VX2262wm and VP2250wb, and 19-inch VX1962wm and VP950b. The 26-inch VX2640w ($649) is a high-end model with 3ms video response time, 1080p full high-definition (HD) native resolution, 4000:1 contrast ratio, HDMI and color saturation close to 25 percent better than traditional displays. The 22-inch widescreen VLED221wm ($799) desktop monitor is the world’s first LED display to feature 12000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The firm says, the VLED221wm is ideal for high-end design applications such as CAD/CAM, desktop publishing and moving production, which must achieve the highest level of color performance. It also provides 1680×1050 resolution, and 5ms response time.


    The latest addition in the VX 62 Series is a 19-inch VX1962wm ($269) and a 22-incher VX2262wm ($369) providing “consumers with a display that will be aesthetically pleasing in many rooms of the home and office.” Both of them offers 1680×1050 resolution, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 2ms response time and 6000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
    Priced at $379, the VP950b combines 1280×1024 native resolution, 2ms response time, 280 nits of brightness (typ) and a 2000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The $450 VP2250wb sports a 1680×1050 native resolution, 2ms response time and 3000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The VP2650wb boosts a 1920×1200 native resolution, 3ms response time and a 3000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (typ) providing the ability to display true high definition 1080i or 1080p content and deliver fluid, full-motion images. The VP2650wb will be sold for $579.
