Perceptive Pixel intros 27″ professional multi-touch desktop display
We have seen couple of multi-touch monitors in the past, but recently Perceptive Pixel launched a new multi-touch display which is touted as the world’s first professional multi-touch desktop display. Coming in at 27-inches, the display offer a high-resolution, optically-bonded, projected capacitive 27″ LCD panel.
What in interesting about this display is that it offers a really big (27-inch) multi-touch panel. Till now multi-touch displays used to come in small sizes because manufacturing big-size multi-touch display was considered to be a tough problem. But it seems Perceptive Pixel have solved the problem.
Perceptive Pixel engineers have achieved an industry first by optically bonding the sensor glass to the display, completely solving the parallax issue and resulting in gorgeous optics, while achieving an even better touch performance and an industry-shattering response time of under 1 millisecond.
Specification include 27″ diagonal IPS (in-plane switching) LED-backlit LCD panel, 2560×1440 resolution, 400cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 6.5ms response time, and 178°/178° viewing angle.
